The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) has produced a range of brochures, which are designed to help licensees understand their liquor licence and the associated responsibilities.

The regulator has produced 14 brochures, with each being tailored to a specific licence and providing information for licensees on the following:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Fire safety
  • Required signage
  • Impact on the surrounding area
  • Specific conditions on your licence
  • Administration and record keeping
  • Compliance and Audit.

VCGLR said: “Victoria boasts a vibrant hospitality and tourism industry with a culture of appreciating fine food and entertainment. The sale and enjoyment of alcohol is part of this.

“But holding a liquor licence is a privilege, not a right, and selling alcohol comes with very real and serious obligations. As a result, the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation has released a range of obligations brochures to help licensees understand their liquor licence and associated responsibilities.”

The brochures are available from the VCGLR website.
