A program launched this week will see small food and beverage businesses offered a rebate up to $500 on best practice lifting equipment.
WorkSafe and the Victorian Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) have teamed up for the program to help small businesses keep their workers safe.
The program will provide equipment including pallet trucks and hand trolleys, along with support and practical assistance for small businesses if a worker is injured.
‘Small Business – Return to Work Essentials’ was launched to provide small employers with advice and education about what to do when a worker is injured.
The service also offers hands-on support to help them complete the necessary paperwork and plan for their worker’s return to work.
