Viticoltori Ponte (Ponte 1948), located in the Veneto region of Italy, is celebrating its 75th anniversary with news of a 90-million-euro consolidated group turnover, an increase of 34.4 per cent on the previous year.

The success of the group over the last year confirms that the business is on track with its development pathway, which will see its international expansion, growth as a sustainable winemaker and technological innovation in the coming years.

Located in the Northeast corner of Italy and best known as the home of Venice, the Veneto region is a powerhouse in Italian wine production, with vineyards covering more than 190million acres. Nestled at the foothills of the Province of Treviso, the region’s vineyards benefit from optimal soil standards, a favourable climate, and ideal levels of rainfall for winegrowing, allowing for the production of many different varietals.

Founded in 1948, Viticoltori Ponte has become one of the most innovative companies in Italy’s wine industry, representing 1,000 winemaking families farming 3,000 hectares of land throughout the region.

Operating in more than 30 countries around the world, Viticoltori produces approximately 20 million bottles every year with the increased turnover allowing the group to reach newinternational markets, including India, Canada and Sweden, and focus on its commitment to organic production.

While the company works on its global expansion, substantial funds have been allocated to technological innovation over the next three years, including the implementation of a new automated warehouse and increased storage capacity.

With biodiversity being such an important element to the terrestrial habitat of the Veneto region, the organisation is introducing sustainable viticulture practices through the use ofrenewable energy sources and monitoring of the vineyard ecosystem.

As the producer’s popularity grows in Australia and beyond, Viticoltori Ponte has taken on a completely new brand identity that combines traditional, local inspirations with a fresh, more contemporary appeal. The complete restyling includes the logo, and the labelling of theCantina Trevigiana wines, all IGT representing the strong territorial identity.

Luigi Vanzella, General Manager at Viticoltori Ponte, spoke about the company’s position as it celebrates 75 years of operation.

“We are a company that does not like to rest on its laurels. The experience gained over the years is strong today in a young, dynamic group with innovative ideas that are punctually rewarded. This gives us courage in continuing to be forward-looking, always one step ahead.”

Perfect union of the values and history of the Company with the noblest winemaking traditions of the Veneto area, Cantina Trevigiana is one of the high-quality brands that Viticoltori Ponte exports to Australia. Having won numerous awards and accolades over the years, Cantina Trevigiana represents a wide range of wine styles including Prosecco DOC Treviso, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
