One of the founders of emerging young winery, Cake Wines, has been selected to speak at this year's Vivid Festival.

Co-founder Glen Cassidy will be sitting on a panel with other guest speakers in a session titled “Content, creativity, and the future of PR: It's not who you know but how you think."

Cassidy told TheShout: "We were approached by Vivid to share our thoughts and stories on Cake so far, it's a real honour to be included amongst such a talented group of people and companies."

Joining Cassidy on the panel will be senior PR adviser Amanda Little, creative and strategy director with the Hausmann Group Lex Deasley and Telstra's director of digital media and content Adam Good.

After starting four years ago "literally out of the back of a truck" Cake Wines has enjoyed a meteoric rise with its range of wines from Adelaide Hills.

Cassidy, along with fellow founder Mike Smith and head winemaker Sarah Burvill, said they "continue to push the envelope in every part of the business and brand, culminating in a cult following and an exciting future prospect for the wine industry as a whole."
