The VODKA O brand will remain a key focus for Australian company ASM Liquor this year on the back of impressive growth in 2012.

ASM Liquor CEO, Tim Szonyi, said that VODKA O was one the standout performer in the company's portfolio.

"Without doubt our number one highlight was VODKA O, growing at 37 per cent" Szonyi told TheShout. 

"This was seven times faster than the category, making VODKA O the fastest growing brand within mainstream vodka and firmly establishing it as a credible alternative in the eyes of our consumers." 

Szonyi said ASM Liquor planned to work closely with retailers to further establish this Australian brand in the market.

"Our number one priority is to continue to invest behind VODKA O in order to further establish the brand as a credible alternative to the 'big guys' for our retailers, venue operators and consumers." he said.  "Our internationally awarded VODKA O is crafted from whey, which delivers an exceptionally smooth and creamy taste and is proving to be a winner with consumers."

"From a trade perspective we are focused on working with our retailers to build programs that give consumers a reason to choose our brands and deliver greater value for everyone as a result of that choice."

ASM Liquor has also recently launched VODKA O into the duty free channel in a one litre format, as well as expanding into several Asian markets.
