The Australian Hotels Association (WA) has once again started its search for Western Australia's Best Steak Sandwich.
Voting in the 2015 competition is now open, with consumers being encouraged to visit their favourite venue and vote online.
AHA(WA) CEO, Bradley Woods, said "Until midnight on 20 April 2015, everyone has the opportunity to vote for their favourite steak sandwich online at hospitalitywa.com.
"Now in its eighth year, this popular competition continues to raise the gastronomic quality of WA steak sandwiches.
"Steak sandwiches are an Aussie icon and a highlight of any pub menu. They pull together great ideas, home-style cooking, fresh local produce and beautiful Australian meat.
"With the support of Tourism Western Australia and beverage company Lion, through the James Squire brand, we search WA's top tourism regions to find the best steak sandwich available.
The competition involves more than 80 hotels throughout Western Australia, giving people across the state the chance to be involved.
Woods added: "We want people to know that no matter where you are in WA, you can find a unique, delicious and fresh steak sandwich that represents great value for money.
"WA has some of the best pubs in the most unique tourism regions of Australia and we want to celebrate the steak sandwich as an iconic taste of WA."
After the voting closes the five metropolitan and five regional finalists will be announced on 23 April. Those finalists will then be invited to compete in a live steak sandwich cook-off, which will take place at the AHA's Hospitality Expo on Tuesday 19 May and Wednesday 20 May 2015 at Crown Perth.
