Award winning Perth bar and restaurant, The George, has announced the first of 12 events celebrating Australia’s First Families of Wine.

The marketing alliance was created by 12 family owned Australian wineries and launched at the end of 2009 to represent 16 Australian regions across four states.

The 12 inaugural members of the alliance are: Brown Brothers (VIC); Campbells (VIC); d’Arenberg (SA); De Bortoli (NSW); Henschke (SA); Howard Park (WA); Jim Barry (SA); McWilliams (NSW); Tahbilk (VIC); Taylors (SA); Tyrrell’s (NSW) and Yalumba (SA).

Hayley Purbrick from Tahbilk Wines joins The George from 5-7pm on July 22nd as the alliance begins its ‘Australia’s First Families of Wine Series’.

Four wines from Tahbilk will be matched with tapas from head chef Telina Menzies.

The George is the only venue in Western Australia hosting a dedicated series of events supporting Australia’s First Families of Wine.

Tickets are $45 and bookings are essential.
