One of Perth’s most popular bars – Universal Bar – will celebrate sixteen years in the business with a Las Vegas themed party tonight (Jun 12).

From 7:00pm, waitresses dressed as showgirls will serve up Vegas-inspired cocktails created by AHA Hall of Fame Bartender and venue manager Brett Lubicz.

Universal Bar general manager, Trevor Candido, said he was stoked the venue had survived – and continued to thrive – after so many years.

“Sixteen years in business is no small feat in this industry, but our focus on quality live entertainment and outstanding customer service have insured our longevity,” he said.

Since opening its doors in 1993, Universal Bar has proven to be a popular cocktail haunt for Perth locals. It regularly hosts live entertainment acts and tonight’s birthday party will see local acts Retrofit and Grand Theft Audio entertain the crowd.

Guests are also encouraged to dress up, with prizes awarded for best dressed.

”Suggestions include Elvis, Siefried & Roy, Criss Angel and even the Blue Man Group,” said Candido. “We’re sure to see some colourful costumes and characters tonight.”
