The Wine Communicators of Australia (WCA) have announced that nominations are open for its annual 2013 WCA Communicator Awards.

The WCA is calling for nominations in each of the three categories for the awards, which include the Gourmet Traveller WINE/WCA New Wine Writer Award, the WCA Digital Communicator of the Year Award and for the WCA Wine Communicator of the Year Award. 

The first two awards recognise work that took place in the 2012 calendar year, while the third award recognises a body of work over a number of years.  

Previous recipients of the prestigious award include Campbell Mattinson, Paul Henry, Peter Forrestal, Jeni Port, James Halliday, Huon Hooke, Peter Bourne, Andrew Calliard MW and Jane Ferrari.

The winners will be announced at the 2013 WCA Macquarie Group Sydney Royal Wine Show Trophy Winners’ Lunch on Friday 15 February 2013 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.
