Wild Turkey's new three-year sponsorship deal with the Australian Rugby League Commission got underway on Saturday night.

As part of the deal, Wild Turkey has secured the naming rights for the NRL's Saturday games, which will be known as 'Wild Turkey Bourbon NRL Saturday'.

In addition to being the official spirit of the NRL and official spirit of the Telstra Premiership Competition, the deal also extends to official sponsor status with the NRL Final Series, the NRL Grand Final, the City v Country Match, State of Origin, and Domestic Test Matches.

Campari Australia managing director, Shane Richardson, said that Wild Turkey's solid growth in Australia over the last five years had enabled the company to jump on board with the NRL.

"Thanks to continued support by the trade and accelerating uptake by Australian consumers, Wild Turkey has grown significantly over the past few years which has allowed us to reinvest in the brand in terms of key marketing and promotional activities," Richardson said.

"We are thrilled to be associated with the NRL as it enters an exciting new phase in the history of the game. This partnership presents outstanding new marketing and branding opportunities for Wild Turkey Bourbon and will be a key component of the brand's growth strategy over the coming years. It is also the perfect platform for us to engage with our core Wild Turkey Bourbon consumers."
