Prominent Australian beer writer Willie Simpson will host Matilda Bay’s World Cup of Beer Challenge at Sydney’s Newport Arms Hotel tomorrow night.

Simpson, who has spent the past 20 years tasting, writing and judging beer, and is the author of two beer books, will preside over a debate on who makes the best beers in the world.

This question and many others will be argued and possibly answered in the annual event that will also showcase some of Matilda Bay’s finest beers, along with an impressive range of international offerings.

Tickets are $90 and include a five-course meal expertly matched with 10 different beers.

The World Cup of Beer Challenge will commence at 7:00pm.
