Ballandown, a 74.4-hectare property featuring an operating vineyard in the Langhorne Creek wine-growing region, is up for sale for $4.7m.

Only a short drive from the Adelaide CBD, the property features a three-bedroom homestead, extensive shedding, a lake and underground water allocations with an integrated irrigation system.

Planting of Cabernet commenced at the vineyard in 1965 and ran through to the latest Shiraz plantings in 1995. The vineyard has a current production contract.

Elders Strathalbyn Real Estate is brokering the freehold sale.
