Woodford Reserve bourbon is currently activating its second year as a major partner of the Magic Millions Carnival and has dialled up its involvement.

The three-year agreement includes exclusive bourbon service and activations across the Magic Millions Polo, Yearling Sales and Raceday events which make up the week-long equine spectacle on the Gold Coast.

This year Woodford Reserve has doubled the size of its whiskey enclosure, adding a second bar serving a range of classic cocktails.

Marc Satterthwaite, Managing Director of Brown-Forman said: “We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Magic Millions Carnival following the success of 2017.

“Woodford Reserve has a long-standing affiliation with the horse racing industry and world renowned equine events across the United States, United Kingdom and Australia. We’ll be turning it up notch this year at the enclosure and we’re excited to be able to offer our premium Kentucky bourbon whiskey to guests again in 2018.”

The Magic Millions partnership is part of a long-standing association with equine sports for Woodford Reserve. Internationally, the brand is aligned with the Kentucky Derby, USA; Belmont Park, New York; Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course, USA; and Royal Ascot, UK.

“We believe that Woodford Reserve, an international brand with a rich history of supporting the thoroughbred horse industry, is the perfect addition to our sponsorship portfolio,” said Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox.

“For Woodford Reserve to pin its colours to the Magic Millions Sales around Australia speaks volumes for the direction in which we are heading, placing us alongside the likes of the Kentucky Derby and Royal Ascot in the brand’s global equine platform.”

The 10-day Magic Millions Carnival kicked off on the Gold Coast yesterday. The event is the largest premium thoroughbred auction house and racing product in the southern hemisphere, culminating in the official raceday on 16 January.
