South Australian winery Yalumba has started to rollout the refreshed look for its Y Series collection, which includes a new label design and creative campaign.

The new label heroes the distinctive signature letter Y alongside 12 original pieces of artwork across the range, created by South Australian artist, Cindy Durant. Each piece is inspired by her visit to Yalumba, and connects layers of the vineyard to life moments – from New Year’s Eve with friends to Friday night footy.

The wine itself remains unchanged across the 12 red and white varieties, which also includes a new wine – the Y Series Pinot Noir, which is an on-premise exclusive. This new wine, like the existing range, is vegan friendly and 100 per cent wild fermented, sustainably produced with lower alcohol to create an approachable, medium bodied style.

Yalumba Marketing Manager, Jacinta Gibson, said, “The Y Series features a broad collection of refreshing, fruit-driven wines from a trusted family-owned winery.

“Y Series was born from an inspired philosophy to create wines with the lightest of touch, allowing the natural variety to sing. Consumers can confidently explore different varieties in their purest form at an affordable price point.”

Speaking about the new wine, Gibson said: “Like many lighter-bodied red styles, Pinot Noir is becoming very popular with wine drinkers, and we grow wonderful Pinot Noir fruit in South Australia.

“Expect classic Pinot aromatics of strawberry and cranberry, violets and spearmint with some nice spice on the finish. The palate is vibrant and fresh, packed with red fruits and dried herbs.”

The new look is hitting retail shelves now with an RRP of $15, distributed by Samuel Smith & Son.
