Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka has won a gold medal for best flavoured vodka at the 2008 Monde Selection in Brussels.

The Monde Awards are judged by a panel of specialists, knowledgeable in spirits and spirit production.

The judges noted the blend of premium rye vodka and bison grass, likening it to fresh cut grass and coconut, integrated with pepper, cinnamon and all spice.

Pernod Ricard Australia vodka brand manager, Oliver Cast, said the win comes on the back of the brand’s repackaging with each bottle featuring a blade of bison grass.

“This latest accolade further validates Zubrowka’s position as the benchmark in flavoured vodka,” Cast said.

The light olive-coloured, herbaceous vodka recently won two awards at the Drinks International Annual Vodka Challenge in London for best-flavoured vodka and best packaging design.
