Australian Beer Company, the Coca-Cola Amatil and Casella joint venture, has announced its naming rights sponsorship of The Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix Series, to be held in its NSW Riverina homeland.

The AFPGP is Australia's premier powerboat racing series and its next event will take place in Griffith, NSW, on February 21 and 22.

Around 4,000 spectators are expected to attend the two-day event at Griffith Boat Club on the banks of Lake Wyangan.

AFPGP president Gavin Simmons said: "The support of the Australian Beer Company, based just down the road in Yenda, was vital in ensuring our exciting series competes at Griffith."

"We hope that as well as enjoying the action, the 4000-plus spectators who support the event also support the local community and our sponsor Australian Beer Company by trying one of their award-winning locally made Yenda craft beers."
