Following the release of the James Halliday Top 100 Wines, Randwick Racecourse will next week host a tasting of a selection of wines from the list.

Taking place on Monday 28 November at 6.30pm, the night will see over $50,000 worth of wines poured including those from James' list and a selection of winners from this year's Halliday Wine Companion Awards. There will also be matched canapes and the opportunity to chat with some of Australia’s leading winemakers.

Guests will enjoy the selection alongside a specially matched menu that includes freshly shucked oysters, cured-salmon blinis, smoked-duck tartlettes and chicken and leek pies, all prepared by The Big Group and Royal Randwick Racecourse's award-winning chefs.

For $140, guests will sample an array of wines that includes bottles yet to be released to the public and vintage Champagnes. A Riedel glass is yours to keep, and the night will conclude with a cheese smorgasbord and glass of Piper-Heidsieck.

Tickets are strictly limited. To secure your place, book now through the Wine Companion website.
