Licensing officials in NSW have issued a reminder to the trade to keep abreast of regulatory changes that came into effect yesterday under the Liquor Act 2007 and Liquor Regulation 2008.

The NSW Officer of Liquor, Racing and Gaming (OLGR) has published a number of fact sheets and application forms to help keep individuals and organisations abreast of changes and developments, with more information to be posted in coming days.

Under the new regime, applications for new licences and changes to existing licences will require a Community Impact Statement. A toolkit is available online to help applicants complete the process.

The Director of Liquor and Gaming has also issued new guidelines on intoxication, which will be mailed out to every licensee in the state over the next few days.

Changes to liquor promotion guidelines are currently being drafted and will be released shortly for public consultation on the OLGR website.

For more information, call 02 9995 0333 or email info@olgr.nsw.gov.au.
